As a duo known as the Goddard Girls, they have performed at numerous venues, including the NY Fiddlers Hall of Fame with Don Woodcock, the Hammond Scottish Festival, the Remington Arts Festival, the Potsdam Food Co-op, and various local nursing homes, farmer's markets, and talent shows. Notably, they were recognized as the top musicians in New York at the NY State Fair Talent Show. Additionally, they have been active members of the Young Tradition Vermont Touring Group for two years, performing in Scotland, New York and New Jersey areas. They have also been finalists for four consecutive years in the Young Tradition Vermont Contest. |
Uprooted — Camilla A mmirati, Catherine Jahncke, Rosemary Philips, and Lenore VanderZee — came to the North Country from all over the U.S. at different times to put down new roots, and here they have found home. The band, who have been making music together for about 10 years, plays an eclectic mix of favorites from the 1890s to the 1990s as well as original songs that draw on American music traditions--from country to swing to hot jazz and rock--all intertwined with vocal harmonies, guitar, mandolin, bass, banjo, and fiddle. They are thrilled to be making their second appearance at the Norwood Village Green Concert Series. |
Holly Goddard is an accomplished fiddler with over twelve years of experience and a recent graduate of the Crane School of Music, where she studied under Leisl Doty, renowned crossover fiddle and violinist. Brooke Goddard has been dedicated to mastering the bodhran for approximately nine years, receiving instruction from several esteemed teachers, including Aimee Farrell Courtney, the 2010 World Bodhran Champion.
