Born blind and almost deaf in one ear, Michael Cleveland has attained legendary status as one of the greatest fiddlers of his or any other generation. The Grammy Award recipient has been nominated for his 2nd Grammy in 2024. He has also been the recipient of the National Endowment For the Arts National Heritage Fellowship award. His group Flamekeeper has been the International Bluegrass Music Association’s Instrumental Group Year 7 times and he has been the IBMA Fiddler of the Year 12 times. He has performed and recorded with Tommy Emmanuel, Vince Gill, Billy Strings, Dan Tyminski, Tim O’Brien, Jeff White, and many others. He will be touring 12 European countries in February and March, 2024 with Bela Fleck. His story has been chronicled in the New York Times and a National Heritage Documentary film.
